Supporting your personal health and well-being journey is important to us. While everyone’s path to good health is different, your Wolters Kluwer health and well-being plans and programs are there for you when you need them to help you be at your best.
Benefits and programs to make a difference for your health and wellbeing include medical, dental, vision, Life and AD&D insurance, Disability, voluntary benefits and our well-being program.
Medical
Our plans include comprehensive coverage for medical services, including in-network preventive care covered at 100%. You can choose from three national medical plans, two consumer drive health plans and a PPO, all which include prescription drug coverage. If you are in Illinois or California, you also have the option of an HMO. With multiple plan options available you have flexibility to select what makes the most sense for you.
Both consumer driven health plans are paired with a Health Savings Account (HSA) which allows you to save money, pay for eligible health care expenses and invest to grow your account balance, all tax free.
If you enroll in the PPO, you can participate in the Health Care Flexible Spending Account.
Support for Your Path to Parenthood
If you enroll in a Wolters Kluwer medical plan, you’ll also have access to inclusive benefits that support many paths to parenthood, including donor and surrogacy assistance, virtual holistic coaching and fertility treatments.
Disability
Our disability benefits offer financial protection at no cost to you if you’re unable to work due to short-term or long-term illness or injury. You’ll have access to both Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability:
- Short-Term Disability (30-day wait for new hires): Provided at no cost to you; you receive salary compensation during a short-term disability.
- Long-Term Disability: Provided at no cost to you, and you also have the option to elect employee-paid LTD coverage. You pay for employee-paid LTD with after-tax dollars, and if you become disabled, the benefit is tax-free.
Voluntary Benefits
You’ll have a range of voluntary benefits you can choose based on what you feel is best for you and your family. Voluntary benefits can make a difference by providing peace of mind and additional support when you need it. Our voluntary benefits include Long Term Care, Critical Illness Insurance, Accident Insurance, Hospital Indemnity Insurance, Identity Theft Protection, Discount Auto and Home Insurance, Legal Plan and Pet Insurance.
Dental
You can choose between two dental plans. Both plans offer coverage for preventive care, basic, restorative and orthodontia.
Vision
The vision plan offers access to coverages for vision exams, glasses and contacts. The plan supplements the coverage available under your Wolters Kluwer medical plan.
Life and Accident Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance
Basic Life and AD&D insurance of 1.5 times your annual base pay is provided automatically to you, paid by the Company. Depending on your needs, you have the option to purchase additional coverage at group term rates, including:
- Optional Life Insurance: Purchase coverage up to six times your annual base pay.
- Optional Dependent Life Insurance: Purchase coverage for your spouse, domestic partner and/or children.
- Optional AD&D Insurance: Purchase coverage up to six times your annual base pay.

Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides you with professional and confidential support and resources to guide you through all of life’s ups and downs. This program is offered to you and your dependents at no cost, and you can use it for whatever you may need – from dealing with a personal crisis to planning a major life event to managing daily stressors.
